07/21 Ryan’s “Hot Start” Monday Morning Forecast

We're off to a hot start this week with fewer showers, but those will return by the end of the week.

It’s going to be a struggle to stay cool out there today as we’re off to a sunny and hot start, with almost no chance of a cooling afternoon shower. A few sprinkles fell yesterday, but no measurable amounts and today will be even drier. That means fewer clouds and more sun, leading to more significant heating in the afternoon to go along with our “miserable” summertime humidity. That’ll have heat indices in the neighborhood of 105-110°, so be sure to practice your heat safety today if you have to spend any time outside today. That means:

  • Stay Hydrated: drink plenty of water, with sports drinks mixed in if you have been sweating.
  • Seek Shade as much as Possible
  • Dress in Light, Loose-Fitting Clothing
  • Stay in AC as much as you can

Our days and nights will be getting even hotter by a few degrees for the next few days, so stay cool out there South Mississippi!
