06/05 Ryan’s “More Showers” Monday Forecast

It’s rained for about 10 days straight in South Mississippi, and more showers are on the way for tonight & tomorrow, but that’s where things start looking up. Scattered showers are expected through the night, and while no severe weather is expected, a thunderstorm or two this evening isn’t out of the question. Our low will only drop into the mid 70s, and light southerly winds will keep the humidity high through the night, leading to some patchy fog in moist, protected areas.

Tomorrow will see a higher chance of showers and storms as the low pressure center moves nearly directly overhead, allowing for easy lifting. The afternoon high will stay in the low 80s, and the rain is expected periodically throughout the day. The low pressure center moves East as a front moves in and sweeps it away overnight, meaning skies clear some on Wednesday, but will be absolutely clear by Thursday.

The lead in to the weekend is looking fantastic, though southerly winds will start again as we head into Friday & Saturday, bringing higher humidities, clouds, and rain chances back to the coast.
