06/17 Ryan’s “Much Drier” Sunday Night Forecast

Last week was pretty stormy and rainy, but this week will be considerably drier! That’s not to say we won’t see any rain; there will still be a few isolated showers in the mix.

Expect about a 30% chance of showers to start the week off tomorrow, but high pressure settles in through the middle of the week and keeps those skies rain free through Thursday.

That’s the day I expect to see the highest chance of rain, around 40%, and also the official start of Summer! Our temperatures will linger in the low 90s all week long, but needless to say it only gets hotter as we head deeper into our warmest months.

The tropical disturbance we’ve been tracking has now moved into the Gulf and is heading toward Eastern TX.

This system still has a very low chance of tropical development, but will bring gusting winds and pockets of heavy rain to Texas and Southwest Louisiana. Other than an increase in cloud cover tomorrow, we’ll see no impact from this system in South MS.
