06/15 Ryan’s “Wet Start, Rainy Week” Monday Forecast

We're off to a wet start to the week with days of consistent rainfall ahead.

We’re starting off this week on the wet side and that isn’t going to change as we head into the days ahead. We already blew today’s rainfall forecast out of the water in a few coastal areas, particularly the Biloxi-Ocean Springs area which has already seen over 6″ of rain this morning. Most of that feel between sunrise and the mid morning hours, as some of these storms had rain rates upwards of 2-3″ an hour. That’s more than enough to cause some flash flooding issues, which we have already seen come and go. With more rain on the way for the rest of the week and heavier rain expected north of us, expect to add river flooding issues later this week on top of or local issues. Thunderstorms are likely, but severe weather isn’t.

Today will see more showers than not with a 60% chance, and an 88° high with cloudy skies.
