05/25 Ryan’s “Still Clear, but Warmer” Thursday Forecast
The skies will remain clear-to-mostly sunny through the weekend, but the clouds will thicken and showers will move in as we begin next week.
Expect a cool and calm evening, with light winds slowly shifting southward and a high near 67. The light winds and slight bump in humidity will likely lead to some light fog in areas of fog-prone Jackson and Hancock Counties, but otherwise it is barely worth mentioning. Tomorrow will warm up to around 87, and those southerly winds climb to around 10-15 mph, increasing our low level humidity to moderate levels. The sunny skies continue into Saturday, but light cloud cover will begin to move in during the afternoon.
As we begin next week, a stalling front will begin to break down over the area, bringing general cloudiness and a 40% chance of showers on Memorial Day. Severe storms are not expected, but a few strong thunderstorms are possible. The chances of rain go down as we head into the middle of next week, but the skies will remain mostly cloudy.
