05/23 Ryan’s “Last Wave” Tuesday Night Forecast

We’ve seen wave after wave of showers & storms, but the last one for a while is expected tonight. Skies are clear as I’m writing this, but within the next two hours we’ll begin seeing a rapid increase in cloud cover and showers moving in from the West. We remain under a “marginal” threat for severe weather, but shear remains low and the instability is only at moderate levels, so chances of any truly damaging weather remain very low.

The cold front will move through overnight bringing drier air and clear, sunny skies for a few days as we head into the weekend. Another front is moving in though, and will stall over the area late Saturday. This boundary continues to linger, causing general cloudiness and a chance of rain during the afternoon all the way into Memorial Day. Right now, the holiday weather looks manageable, but expect some humidity, clouds, and slight rain chances.
