05/10 Ryan’s “Cloudy w/ Full Moon” Wednesday Forecast

The light cloud cover that’s moved in won’t be able to block out all of the full moon tonight, but it will continue to thicken through tomorrow ahead of Friday afternoon’s cold front. Southerly winds have increased low level moisture throughout the day leading to a considerably warmer and more humid evening. Temperature will remain in the upper 60s on the coastline with inland areas slightly cooler, and patchy fog is expected to develop again overnight.

Tomorrow afternoon will remain at least partly sunny, though cloud cover will continue to increase throughout the day. I’m expecting the temperature to remain in the low 80s during the day, with the night increasing to around 70 as more moisture pools in the area. This will continue until the early afternoon on Friday, when our next frontal system will bring showers to the Gulf Coast. Current trends show the storm to be on the weaker side this far South, and at most a “marginal” threat of severe weather is expected. Regardless, this system will pass through fairly quickly and we’ll see clearing skies and drier air after. Mother’s Day weekend is looking quite sunny, clear, and warm at the moment.
