05/07 – Brantly’s “Dry Thursday, Rain Friday” Forecast
Dry conditions will continue for at least one more day before some much needed rain arrives. Humidity levels are still low, but gradually increasing across the Gulf Coast with mild temperatures in the mid 70s.
This afternoon, winds will switch from the north to the south or southeast and that will allow for warmer air and moisture to begin flowing into the region. On Friday, the day will start out partly cloudy. Then, showers and thunderstorms will move in during the late afternoon and last through the evening. Rain chances are at around 70 percent and severe weather is not expected.
After the rain clears the area Friday night, another dry spell is expected. Sunny to partly sunny skies are expected Saturday through the middle of next week with very low rain chances. Severe drought conditions continue along the Gulf Coast.
