05/03 Ryan’s “Foggy” Friday Evening Forecast

We’re in for a foggy Friday night as the humidity continues to rise ahead of tomorrow’s cold front. The Storm Prediction Center has issued a “slight” risk of severe weather for our storms tomorrow, but I’m not sold.

Instability and wind shear values are low enough that hail and tornadoes are less likely, but damaging wind is possible if they’re able to organize at all.

Meteorologist Payton Malone will be in-studio monitoring the situation as it develops, but be sure to have another way to get information on the go (like our app) in case there are sudden developments while you’re enjoying this weekend’s activities.

Regardless of severe weather development, we will see some showers thunderstorms between the noon and 6 PM.

Hopefully this won’t cause too many problems for “Thunder Over the Sound.” Afterwards, skies begin clearing quickly through Sunday and into the start of next week which is looking more like summer than spring.
