04/28 – Brantly’s “Dry Tuesday, Wet Wednesday” Forecast
Sunny, dry conditions will continue through Tuesday afternoon. Winds are blowing out of the southeast at 10 to 20 miles per hour, with gusts up to around 25 miles per hour. Those winds are bringing in more moisture, but what the Gulf Coast really needs is rain, which will arrive tomorrow.
Showers and thunderstorms will be possible as early as sunrise, but the main line of wet weather will arrive between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. and end by 2 p.m.
The line of rain may become broken before it reaches South Mississippi, but rainfall totals of half an inch to one inch are still expected. Some of the thunderstorms may be strong, but the overall severe weather threat is low.
Another dry stretch will begin Thursday and last through at least early next week with sunny skies and high temperatures in the lower to mid 80s.
