04/16 – Brantly’s “Calm” Thursday Afternoon Forecast

Another gorgeous day is on tap for the Gulf Coast with lots of sunshine and mild temperatures! Just a few clouds will be rolling through and highs today will only be in the mid 70s. Tonight, mostly clear skies are expected with a low in the mid to upper 50s.

Heading into the weekend, moisture flow returns and it will begin to feel more humid. Clouds will gradually build in and rain chances will increase to 20 percent on Friday and 50 to 50 percent on Saturday as high temperatures get back into the lower 80s.

On Sunday, rain chances rise to around 60 percent as another round of showers and thunderstorms move across the region. The Storm Prediction Center is watching our area once again for the possibility of strong to severe thunderstorms Sunday afternoon into Sunday night. We’ll learn more about the potential threat over the next couple of days as weather models come into better agreement. Stay tuned for updates!
