03/14 Ryan’s “Pi Day” Tuesday Night Forecast

Happy Pi day everyone! I hope you enjoyed our only “math-related” holiday today, made even better by our gorgeous weather conditions. A deck of fair-weather cumulus clouds lingered a few hours longer than expected this morning before clearing, which kept temperatures a few degrees lower than expected. Tonight will be clear and cold, low near 39 in Gulfport with cooler areas inland. At this time, a “Freeze Warning” has been issued for George & Stone counties, which lasts until Thursday morning, so it would be wise to bring in delicate plants and outdoor pets if possible. Tomorrow afternoon will be cooler than today by a few degrees, high near 58, with another frigid night in the 30s later. Expect the cool & clear days to continue until St. Patrick’s Day, which is when our temperatures will return to the 70s and we’ll begin to see the significant clouds, though “mostly sunny” conditions still expected. The weekend will remain warm and sunny, with gradually increasing humidity and almost no chance of rain outside of a 10% chance on Saturday as a weak front “washes out” as it pushes through the Southeast. Spring officially begins Monday, and you can expect sunny weather with moderate humidity as we ring in the new season.
