03/05 Ryan’s “First” Sunday Night Forecast

Thank you for joining me on my first night covering the Sunday night shows until we can add a new WXXV “Weather Authority” team member. The weather so far is following last weekend’s forecast very accurately. We saw cloud cover move in late Saturday, and increase into tonight. Isolated light showers have begun to pop up around South Mississippi, and I’ve carried over a 20% chance of seeing any of this rain through the overnight hours. Rain chances increase to 30% as we head into Monday afternoon/evening, as cloud cover, instability, temperature, and humidity continue to rise ahead of a frontal system coming down out of the Rockies. This cold front is expected to pass through the area late Tuesday, and will bring slightly cooler and drier weather for the middle and latter part of the weekend. Severe weather is not expected with this system because it looks like the front looses is upper level support right as it moves through, meaning any thunderstorms should have limited strength and depth.
