03/07 Ryan’s “Warm-Up” Thursday Evening Forecast

Temperatures were on the rise today and the warm-up doesn’t stop anytime soon. Between last night’s low and tomorrow night’s expect a nearly 30 degree swing while afternoon highs only increase by ~20 degrees. All of this is happening as cloud cover continues to thicken and frontal systems move in.

The first system will pass to the north and east of us, but the second will be coming through over the weekend and brings a chance of severe weather.

This front will move through Saturday night through Sunday morning, and currently brings a “marginal” to “slight” risk to most of the area. The instability metrics for this time frame are pretty low, but the potential for damaging weather is there and we will continue to watch and update you on the situation. By the beginning of next week the front will pass through but will stall out in the Northern Gulf. This will keep cloud cover and isolated-to-scattered showers in place for most of the week, another front brings changes before the weekend.
