03/04 – Brantly’s “Stormy” Wednesday Afternoon Forecast

Wednesday afternoon and evening, everyone in South Mississippi will likely see showers and thunderstorms. Some thunderstorms may produce heavy rainfall, gusty winds, and an isolated tornado or two.

The most likely time of arrival for any strong to severe storms will be between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. The Storm Prediction Center has the entire WXXV viewing area under a “Slight Risk” for severe weather, which is threat level 2 out of 5.

A Flash Flood Watch is in effect until 6 a.m. Thursday.

Some showers may linger into the first part of Thursday, then cloudy skies will stick around for Thursday afternoon. Skies will finally clear Thursday night as drier air moves into the region.

Sunny to mostly sunny skies are expected Friday and Saturday with temperatures in the mid 60s during the day, dropping to the lower to mid 40s overnight.
