02/03 Ryan’s “Foggy” Friday Afternoon Forecast

Last night’s forecast called for foggy conditions and cloudy skies to start the day, but we ended the afternoon with clear and sunny skies. Expect this trend to continue into tomorrow (Saturday) with a gorgeous clear, sunny sky and a mild afternoon high near 60 in Gulfport. The nearly perfect conditions only last a day though, as Gulf return flow sets up sets up Saturday evening, bringing moisture and increased cloud cover to South MS. Despite the warm front setting up in the Southeast, I don’t expect much rain, though a small chance does carry over into Sunday evening. Our largest chance of any significant rain will come around midnight on Tuesday night, as a developing low pressure system drags a cold front across the area. The synoptic set up at that time will be conducive to some severe weather, but none is expected for our area at this time.
