02/12 Ryan’s “Shifting” Tuesday Evening Forecast
South MS weather is always shifting but we’ll see some significant changes occurring in just the next few hours. A cold front moved in late this morning and is just pushing out of the area as of 6 PM. Winds remain light and generally westerly, but will increase to 10-15 mph as they begin shifting northerly. The strong cold air advection on the back of this wind will bring clear skies and chilly temperatures back for the first time since last weekend.
Expect lows in the 40 degree range on the coastline, but inland counties will experience the mid-to-low 30s.
Tomorrow afternoon will cool into the mid 60s, but with plenty of sunshine and blue skies. These cooler and drier conditions do now hang around long though, and we’ll have climbed back into the low 70s by the weekend with slight chances of showers. Another front brings rain by Monday as well as much stronger ridging, so the cooler weather will finally stick around.
