02/04 Ryan’s “Overnight Rain” Thursday Night Forecast

The last few days have been sunny and clear, but all that is going to change overnight. Clouds started building late in the evening, and will now stick with us for the rest of the week. Expect overcast skies tonight with a much warmer low near 48 degrees and a 50% chance of rain.

Spotty showers arrive in NW South Mississippi around midnight, and will have pushed east by 9 AM.

This allows a short window of cooler, drier air to move in, but it will be short-lived. It’ll be enough to bring tomorrow’s high down into the low 50s, but another surge of warmer, more humid air begins almost immediately. That means significant rain chances pick up again by the early afternoon, and cloudy, wet conditions stay with us. In fact, we won’t see any clearing until late Saturday night after the low is pulled sufficiently far east.
