02/02 Ryan’s “Groundhog Day” Tuesday Night Forecast

Earlier today Punxsutawney Phil, the weather forecasting groundhog, did see his shadow meaning six more weeks of winter. That seems appropriate tonight, as I expect the low to linger near freezing on the waterfront. Tomorrow won’t be warming much either, high still in the upper 50s with sunny skies.

As we head into Wednesday night though we’ll begin to see more significant changes.

Expect a ten degree increase in both our day and nighttime temperature as southerly winds pick up ahead of our next front. This event has weakened from where it appeared to be earlier this week, but will still bring rain to the area along with some cooler weather for the weekend. It won’t be much cooler, only falling a few degrees, and we’ll begin warming to near seasonal average by the start of next week.
