01/27 Ryan’s “Coldest…for Now” Tuesday Morning Forecast
We're seeing the coldest weather of the winter so far...for now...as even colder moves in as we finish off the week.
Old Man Winter is here in South Mississippi, despite not seeing any of the nearby winter weather we’re seeing our coldest weather yet…for now. That’s because another front is coming in Friday morning that’ll ensure our temperatures won’t rise above 40 as we begin the weekend! For now though, lows fell a little more than yesterday down to 21° in Gulfport. Thankfully yesterday’s brisk wind weakened considerably, so wind chills stayed about the same despite getting even colder. That changes from here though, as this is as cold as we’re going to get before we start a very subtle warming trend. That’ll happen as early as this afternoon as highs climb into the upper 40s/low 50s across the area under sunny skies. We’ll keep warming each day and morning until Friday, with a 20+ degree temperature drop expected before Saturday…bringing the coldest weather yet as lows fall near the teens.
