01/21 Amerie’s “Weather Kid” Wednesday Forecast

Today we meet Amerie, this week's WXXV Weather Kid brought to you by The Window Source of the Gulf Coast.

It is Wednesday, South Mississippi, which means we get to meet this week’s WXXV Weather Kid, sponsored by The Window Source of the Gulf Coast, Amerie! She likes to spend quite a bit of time outside when it’s dry and warm, playing softball or dominating tag with her sisters. If it’s raining or too cold, you can find her inside practicing dance moves, playing board games, and watching TV, which right now means episodes of “The Babysitter’s Club”…which are also pretty decent books for kids & tweens. The next handful of days look warm and rainy, followed by a dramatic cool down next week, so she’ll likely be getting a lot of dance practice and board games in over the next week.

Today’s high will warm into the upper 60s, continuing our warming trend as we head into Thursday. Thursday morning looks especially warm compared to the front half of the week, taking us from those frosty mornings into the upper 50s for tomorrow’s low. Scattered showers will start today, and linger through the weekend before clearing.
