01/14 – Brantly’s “Muggy” Tuesday Afternoon Forecast

A Dense Fog Advisory has been extended until at least 6:00 a.m. Wednesday for coastal portions of South Mississippi, including Hancock, Harrison, and Jackson Counties. A Marine Dense Fog Advisory is also in effect for the Mississippi Sound and Mobile Bay areas. Visibility has been reduced to ¼ of a mile or less in several locations, especially along the coast and near area bays and lakes.

Temperatures are well above normal and are expected to remain that way for the next few days. Highs will be in the mid 70s for the next few days as a warm, damp air mass sits over the Gulf Coast.

Hit or miss showers will be possible for the remainder of the week. Our next weather maker arrives Saturday, bringing scattered showers and thunderstorms ahead of a strong cold front.

By Sunday, temperatures will be more winter-like with highs dropping to the mid 50s and lows dipping into the 30s and 40s.
