Zeta damage repairs continue at Beauvoir

Hurricane Zeta caused damage all across the Coast, ripping away the entrance to Beauvoir.

It’s one of the most well-known historical landmarks on the Coast and you can see the fence in disarray as you drive along Highway 90.

Since the hurricane, only 25% of the fence has been mended. 90 percent of the fence fell during the windy storm.

They’re in the process of looking for contractors for the repairs as well as insurance and help from MEMA and FEMA to cover the costs.

They’re asking for donations. So far, they’ve raised over $2,000. If you donate $300 or more you can adopt a section of the fence and they’ll display your name. Visit Beauvoir’s Facebook page for more information.
