Yorkies Almost Ready For Adoption
Many of the puppies involved in what authorities believed to be a puppy mill are almost ready for adoption.
Earlier this week, 28 Yorkshire Terriers were all rescued from a man’s home and handed over to the Humane Society of South Mississippi. Since being rescued, seven of those terriers, who were adults, were placed into foster care. The 21 other terriers, who were puppies, have been receiving a beauty treatment thanks to a local groomer.
Pet lovers interested in adopting one of these cute pups, be patient. You’ll be able to give them a new home soon enough. Marketing Specialist for the Humane Society Maren Slay said, “We had Bubbles and Bows, which is the local groomer, come and groom 21 Yorkshire Terriers yesterday. They all got haircuts, makeovers, bandanas and bows. They’re doing really well. We anticipate they’ll be ready for adoption in one to two weeks. We’re going to set one day for adoption. If you’re interested, you come that one day. We’re not doing any holds or waiting lists or anything like that.”
Once the date is set, the Humane Society says they will post to their social media.
