YMCA offering the ‘Y Fit’ Program

First it was quarantine snacks, then hurricane snacks, and now we have Thanksgiving and Christmas around the corner.

If you’re thinking of a healthier lifestyle for your New Year’s resolution check out the ‘Y Fit’ Program.

Starting January 9th, with weigh-ins one week prior, the YMCA’s ‘Y Fit’ program is an eight-week fitness challenge geared to creating a healthier you.

They’ll have weekly weigh-ins, lunch and special classes. They’ll have full use of the facility and a joining fee if you join the YMCA. The cost is $75 for members and $175 for nonmembers.

This program helps participants start their new year on the right track. Membership and Marketing Director Amanda Ray said, “Last year we lost over 300 pounds with my group. I had one girl start off as a beginner getting into fitness, she ran the Gulf Coast Marathon, and I think she’s doing it again this year. So, we’ve had some really heartwarming success stories that come from Y Fit.”

There’s limited space available. For more information email jconwill@mgcymca.org.
