Y.M.C.A. Hosts 14th Annual Fall Festival
Over 250 children dressed up in Halloween costumes and their families ate popcorn, took a trip on the hayride, and even got scared on the Boo Bus. This year, due to the construction on their facility, the Y.M.C.A. partnered with local businesses to make the festival a success.
Catarina Johnson, Associate Executive Director of the Y.M.C.A., says, “It’s been great. We actually reached out to businesses in the community and they are here today with us, partners like United Way and Junior Auxiliary, Secure from across the street. So they’re all here today supporting and reaching out to the community to just give the kids and the families just a really fun time.”
The Y.M.C.A. on Government Street is still recovering from a fire that took out a good portion of their new construction just over a month ago.
