WXXV viewer donates check to Seashore Mission

Yesterday, News 25 told you about a local day center for the homeless that needed help to service their nine air cooling units.

After seeing this story on WXXV, a viewer donated a check to the Seashore Mission in Biloxi for $1,000, the exact amount that was needed to fix the cooling units.

Executive Director of the Seashore Mission Elijah Mitchell says he is incredibly grateful for the generous donation.  “We had a response yesterday from a young lady who came by and met that particular need. So, we are grateful for News 25.”

If you can’t afford to donate money you can help out in other ways. Seashore Mission is always looking for volunteers. They also use a lot of paper products to serve meals and accept items such as paper plates from the public.
