Wreck in Gulfport Results in Minor Injuries

A wreck in Gulfport this afternoon caused one car to flip, but luckily no one was severely injured.
At about 2 o’clock a Nissan Rogue and Kia Optima collided near the Cracker Barrel on Crossroads Parkway causing the Nissan to partially overturn onto the passenger side. The driver of the Kia Optima walked away with no injuries, while the passengers of the Nissan Rogue were trapped inside their car, until a good Samaritan helped them escape. David Lyle McLemore said, “I helped the man get out and the lady was trapped. It was turned up on the side and she was hanging in the seatbelt. So, I got the other lady out from under her, I got in it and helped her out and then I got under the other lady and held her up and popped the seatbelt release and got her out.”
The passengers extracted from the Nissan Rogue were transported to an area hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
