World Series of Wheelchair Softball
Today some serious athletes rolled into Biloxi and no amount of rain could stop them from putting on a show.
The World Series of Wheelchair Softball is taking place in Biloxi on the grounds of the Coast Coliseum and these guys are the best of the best.
The event is a National Wheelchair Softball Association sanctioned event and will be running through Saturday with teams from as far away as Japan participating in the tournament. Kevin Caldwell with the Kansas City Diamonds said, “I was injured in March of 2007. I started wheelchair sports in 2008. We have been to Houston this year. We’ve been to Omaha this year, but this tournament is the mahi-mahi of wheelchair softball. It determines who is number one in America in wheelchair softball.”
On Saturday at 1:30 a Team USA versus Team Japan rematch will take place. In their last meeting, Team USA came out on top with a score of 5 to 4.
