Women of Wisdom Luncheon

A group of women from all over the Coast are coming together every month in Gulfport to help nuture our community.
WOW or Women of Wisdom hosted their monthly luncheon at the Lyman Community Center in Gulfport. Today’s topic for the spiritually based group of ladies was about finding a destiny in life. Women of Wisdom collected baby wipes for the Women’s Resource Center to use. They tell News 25 they are working towards providing gently worn or new shoes for people in need in Haiti. WOW Coordinator Robin Killeen said, “If we see there’s a need in the community. We try to take on that project and help people out so we’re just trying to get people involved in the community and serve others because while we’re serving others, God’s taking care of our business.” “When women come, we love on them, we energize them. We encourage them. We inspire them. We all come together as one,” said WOW Coordinator DeBo’rah Drayton-Ward.
The Women of Wisdom also honored long-time leader Karan Murrell who recently passed away.
