Woman Drowns in Biloxi Back Bay

There was a tragedy in Biloxi today as authorities recover a body from Biloxi Back Bay.
According to Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove, first responders were called to the Forrest Avenue Pier just across from the Department of Marine Resources Headquarters around 4:30 this afternoon.
The Biloxi Fire Department recovered the body of 38-year-old Simber Golden of Biloxi.
The man who dialed 9-1-1 tells News 25 two other females asked for his help when they saw the woman fall into the bay. The man says he believes she was under water for about five minutes before authorities could get to her. “Biloxi Fire recovered the individual. We know that she is a 38-year-old white female and the case is under investigation by DMR, Biloxi PD and my office. We know she was on the pier prior to being in the water and we’re still doing that now, we’re doing interviews as we speak,” said Hargrove.
Hargrove tells News 25 that Golden’s death has been ruled as an accidental drowning.
