Winn-Dixie to Donate Fourth of July Sales to the Wounded Warrior Project

Winn-Dixie Stores across the southeast are teaming up with the Wounded Warrior Project ‘Independence Program’.
Gulf Coast residents can make Fourth of July even more meaningful by giving back to those who made celebrating the country’s freedom possible.
Martha Young, a Gulfport resident, said, “These men and women are fighting for our country, they’re wounded. They need to be taken care of and I think it’s a wonderful cause.”
There are two ways you can participate. The first, for every cent of every dollar they make this Fourth of July, all proceeds will go to the project which helps our most severely wounded service members. The second option is the scan program, which starts today.
Winn-Dixie Regional Vice President Karena Niblett said, “I think this is a really good opportunity for us as well as the communities we serve to really showcase our support for our military and what they do for us every day.”
You can stop by any Winn-Dixie from open until close this Saturday to donate to the program.
Winn-Dixie has been working with the Wounded Warrior Project since 2010 and was their first retail partner.
