Wilkes Drawbridge closures rescheduled
The overnight closures on the Wilkes Drawbridge have been rescheduled.
Instead, the bridge will be closing overnight Sunday through Wednesday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
It’s all so crews can put the final touches on a $22 million bridge rehabilitation project. Traffic on the heavily traveled bridge has been reduced to two lanes since January when the work stared.
One more update, the bridge will reopen to all four lanes of traffic on Monday.
