Wet Roads Cause Multiple Accidents on I-10
This afternoon, four accidents took place in close proximity to one another within a 20 minute span on Interstate 10.
One car lost control, flipping in the far right eastbound lane at exit 31 right before 2 p.m. This caused another car to become stuck in the median.
Within minutes, patrol cars lined the interstate near the exit as three additional accidents occurred.
Chase Elkins with Mississippi Highway Patrol tells News 25 that wet road conditions were the primary cause of this series of accidents.
While no life threatening injuries occurred, the passengers of the car that flipped were transported to Garden Park Medical with minor injuries.
