Weekend shooting, prior felon arrested

A convicted felon is once again off the streets after another run-in with police over the weekend.

Thirty-five year-old Remington Steele is accused of shooting a man in the foot in Saucier. That man was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Harrison County Sheriff’s deputies later found Steele at his home on Palmer Creek Drive where he was arrested without incident.

This isn’t the first time Steele was arrested. Investigators later found out he was previously convicted of a felony crime.

He was taken to the Harrison County Jail facing an aggravated assault and felony possession of a deadly weapon charges.
