Weekend events still on the schedule in Biloxi

The weather is always a concern when it comes to Biloxi’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade, but it looks like the luck of the Irish is on their side.

According to city leaders, this weekend’s parade will still roll on in Downtown Biloxi at 2 p.m.

The Hibernia Marching Society puts on this parade each year and the group has already kicked off this month’s festivities, starting with the lighting of the Biloxi Lighthouse back on March 3rd in Biloxi.

This is just one popular event that’s still set to go on this weekend in Biloxi. Vincent Creel with the City of Biloxi said, “The Hibernia Marching Society Parade is rolling on Saturday. Grilling on the Green is taking place on the Town Green. We’ve got a full slate of high school baseball games at MGM Park. Things are moving forward, but that is in the back of everybody’s mind. We just ask you to be prudent. If you don’t feel good, if you have symptoms of the flu, stay home. Talk to your doctor.”
