Waveland Gets New Police Building

One of those buildings destroyed during Hurricane Katrina was the Waveland Police Department’s building, but today will show just how far they’ve some the Waveland Police Department cut the ribbon on their brand new police department building this morning. Their old one was completely destroyed during Hurricane Katrina. Construction on the new building has been stopped and greenlighted multiple times over the last few years as developers had to make sure the new building met FEMA regulations. During that time since Katrina, the police have operated out of a trailer. Now they will have a $4.5 million building for all their operations.
