Wanted: armed and dangerous

Moss Point police are on the lookout for a black male who is said to be armed and dangerous following a carjacking that occurred early Friday morning at the intersection of I-10 and Highway 63.

According to Moss Point Police Chief Brandon Ashley, 21-year-old Devarian Edwards is still at large. Police received a call around 2 a.m. reporting that a male and female motorist were carjacked at gunpoint on the I-10 exit 69 entrance ramp. The victims told police they stopped on the ramp to switch drivers to finish their travels to Texas when they were approached by three to four black males with firearms and forced them out their 2018 Nissan Rouge.

Two of the suspects have been apprehended, one is deceased, and Edwards is still at large and may be in the Moss Point-Pascagoula area.
