Wanted for aggravated assault

According to Pass Christian Police Chief Tim Hendricks, Cornell Smith was located this morning in Escambia County, Florida where he is being held pending extradition.

Smith is accused of assaulting and putting a victim in the hospital with head and facial injuries. He is also needed for questioning about the murder of Kenneth Charlot, whose body was found lying in the woods off of 30th Avenue and 23rd Street in Gulfport on February 1st. It is believed that Smith may have significant information about the crime.
