Walter Anderson Museum ‘Seussifies’ the Coast

You may notice some more color as you drive up and down the Coast this week.

In honor of Dr. Seuss’s 111th birthday, the Walter Anderson Museum of Art is ‘seussifying’ the Coast by wrapping a number of trees in colored cloth. They’re looking to draw a larger interest in art among children and hoping these trees create a buzz. On February 22nd, the museum will display the art of children under the age of 18.

Corey Christy, Marketing and Development for the Walter Anderson Museum, says, “We’re looking for different ways to try to reach out to the community and get a different crowd at the museum, kind of have us connect with local artists and especially kids, get them involved in art early and show them what can happen and how cool it is.”

On March 2nd, there will be another event for artists over the age of 18.
