Walking off Thanksgiving at Beauvoir

4,500 calories: that’s how much the average American consumes at a Thanksgiving get together, according to the Calorie Control Council.
Beauvoir in Biloxi is making a way for you to trim off some of that holiday meal by hosting “Walking off Thanksgiving.” The over 50 acre property will open for anyone wanting to take a stroll through the garden, cemetery or walk pets.
Beauvoir’s Event Coordinator Kitsaa Stevens says the beautiful grounds make a great place to take a family picture. “Bring the kids. It is 52 beautiful acres completely fenced in. They can walk the grounds. They can walk the garden. They can go back and check out the animals. We’re just going to open the property so you can walk off that Thanksgiving dinner and not feel so guilty.”
Beauvoir will be open from 2 p.m. until dark and it is $5 per carload of guests.
