Walk MS event this Saturday in Ocean Springs

A world free of multiple sclerosis… That’s the mission some people in Ocean Springs are fighting for. And on Saturday, more than 250 people will join together at Fort Maurepas in Ocean Springs to take part in “Walk MS” to help raise funds to for the debilitating disease.
“Walk MS” is an opportunity for people to raise funds, connect and advocate for those affected by MS.
Funding MS is a cause— Captain Doug Adams of the Pascagoula police department and Chairman of the local MS walk says, is very close to his heart.
“Two point three million people diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. There are a lot more people in Jackson County and Harrison County and in the state of Mississippi than people realize with multiple sclerosis. So we started this about seven years ago and it has gotten bigger and bigger. I have several friends that have been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis so that is how I got involved.”
Saturday registration begins at 8 a.m. and the walk begins at 9 a.m. and to register visit walkms.org
