Walgreens Fights Muscular Dystrophy

Neighborhood Walgreens are teaming up to make a big splash against muscular dystrophy.
Today at the East Pass Road location in Gulfport, customers could donate a dollar to the MDA. In return, they got a shot at dunking the store manager.
Tomorrow, the fundraiser will continue, running all day at locations across the Coast. Katherine LeBlance with Walgreens Pharmacy said, “Starting in D’Iberville at 9, Biloxi at 11, Dedeaux Road at 1 and 25th Avenue at 3.”
Rashuanda McQueen with Walgreens Pharmacy said, “It’s a dollar a ball. If you just want to give a donation to the cause, that’s fine.”
Walgreens Manager Gus Bridges said, “We’re raising money for MDA to help send a child to camp for a week. It takes approximately $1,000.”
The fundraiser will conclude at the 25th and Pass Walgreens location in Gulfport at 3 p.m. where they’ll be selling hotdogs.
