VT halter buildings on fire in Moss Point

This morning, crews battled flames in Moss Point for hours.

This morning around 7 a.m., crews started fighting flames on two buildings at VT Halter in Moss Point. Firefighters were still fighting the flames three hours later. Moss Point, Escatawpa, as well as Jackson County fire departments were all on hand to assist.

According to VT Halter officials, the two buildings were used as old office space and storage so no one was inside the buildings at the time.

Officials also told News 25 they have been having issues with vandalism inside the buildings, however, there is no word on what caused the flames.
