Voters hit the polls in Bay St. Louis

Voters hit the polls for primary runoffs in several Coast cities.
Over in Bay St. Louis two-term Mayor Les Fillingame faces City Councilman Mike Favre in the Democratic runoff. The winner of that race will face Republican Jeff Harding in the general election.
It was a very close race between Fillingame and Favre in the primaries with Fillingame snagging about 20 more of the votes over Favre.
News 25 spoke with several voters about what they hope to see in the city’s next mayor, whoever that may be. Voter Paul Keryan said, “Well, it’s a beautiful place to live. I’d like to see growth and I’m just exercising my rights.”
Voter Pat Sconza said, “See I don’t drive. Now I hope he gets someone that can get a bus line going, some kind of bus for people that don’t drive. That would help a lot of elderly people and a lot of people.”
The general election is set for June 6th.
