Voter Turnout Very Low for Jackson Co. Sheriff’s Runoff

Tuesday, the last two candidates faced off in the Jackson County runoff election for Sheriff. Mike Ezell and Scott McIlrath are making their final rounds, trying to drum up as many voters as possible, but did voters turn out? It seemed to be rather slow at the polls.

On the November 4th election, Jackson County saw almost a 40% voter turnout, but Tuesday, turnout looked to be much less. This being a holiday week, many families are already traveling or preparing for Thanksgiving, and voting may be the last thing on their minds.
