Voter turnout in Ocean Springs

District four residents are exercising their right to vote in Ocean Springs today.

Throughout the day, several voters filed in and out of the Ryan Youth Center located on Pine Drive. Though not required, most of these voters wore their face masks inside the precinct.

Julie Wade, who has been a poll worker five times, says this Election Day is a standout for many reasons. “Voter turnout has been excellent today. Midmorning through noon it was very heavy. After lunch it’s been pretty steady. I’ve been very pleased with the turnout. Everybody has been pleasant, cooperative, patient, and it’s actually been a great day. Today has been the best day that I’ve experienced. We’re really pleased. It’s been an excellent day.”

Wade went on to say that all voters coming through have been in great spirits.
