Voter Registration Deadline October 4th

The deadline to register to vote in the November 4th General Election is Saturday, October 4th, 2014.

“Every Mississippian should be registered to vote,” says Secretary Hosemann. “This is a privilege that comes at the cost of countless men and women who have given their lives for our Country. You can honor their sacrifice by registering to vote today.”

Each Circuit Clerk’s Office will be open from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Saturday, October 4th, 2014 to accept voter registration forms. Mail-in voter registration forms must be postmarked by Saturday, October 4th, 2014.

Voters are required by law to register at least thirty (30) days prior to an election day. Voter registration applications submitted after October 4th will be processed by the Circuit Clerk, but the voter will not be eligible to cast a ballot in the November 4th, 2014 General Election.

Eligible military and overseas voters are given an extended registration period in Mississippi. The deadline for our military and overseas voters to register to vote is October 25th, 2014.
