Voter Deadline is October 8th

The presidential election is three months away. Will you be ready and registered?
The deadline to register is October 8th, 30 days before the date of the general election. The application process for registration in Jackson County requires a driver’s license or the last four digits of your social security number and can be done at any city hall, any library or you can download an application at home and mail it in.
News 25 spoke with Jackson County Circuit Clerk Randy Carney today about the importance of being registered to vote when election time arrives. “It’s very important to be registered to vote because this upcoming election, for example, is drawing a lot of attention. The presidential election is usually a pretty big election so it’s very important that you get out and cast your ballot for your presidential candidate.”
Those who cast absentee ballots in a timely manner or who are properly registered by the October 8th deadline will be able to cast their votes in the upcoming election on Tuesday, November 8th.
