Volunteer opportunities at the Humane Society of South Mississippi

Whether you’re a dog or a cat person, the Humane Society of South Mississippi could use your help volunteering with the animals.

It’s a really easy process in order to sign up. After signing up, you will go through a one hour orientation process. There’s countless opportunities for volunteers to get involved at the Humane Society.

Volunteer Coordinator Valerie Kattz tells News 25 it’s a great opportunity to gain experience working with different animals.  “We need them to help walk the dogs, help pass out treats to them, stuffing toys. Then of course, some dirty work like cleaning. Then there’s our fun thrift store. They can help out in there. Really the volunteer opportunities are endless.”
